5.6 quake rocks San Francisco Bay area; video shows Merc damage

The Blog has its thoughts on our friends in the San Francisco Bay area Tuesday night after that region was rocked by a 5.6 magnitude earthquake.

News reports put the epicenter of the quake at just about 10 miles northeast of San Jose and our friends at the Mercury News.

In fact, the Merc didn't escape the quake unscathed. Thanks to the power of the Internet, we have fresh video from inside the Silicon Valley newspaper taken by Martin Gee showing damage in the business department. And it doesn't look pretty -- it looks like a not-so-fun mess to clean up.

Hopefully the damage is minimal and the injuries are nil.
