Help SND design new Quick Courses
While newsrooms everywhere are downsizing, everyone is trying to do more with less. Maybe you have shrinking graphics department and a nonexistent freelance budget. Or you suddenly have to work on the Web site. Or you're at a small paper where you have to do it all. In any case, the challenges are huge.
SND wants to help by retooling its Quick Courses for 2008 to help you prepare for now.
Based on the success of the Introduction to Multimedia and Intermediate Multimedia classes, SND is changing the format of all its Quick Courses.
The new courses will be designed to give you the skills you need to survive a changing industry. Each class will be two days of intense hands-on, computer lab training taught by top visual journalism professionals. And at $300 for members, it will be the best training bargain in the industry. These courses will be perfect for designers, graphic artists, photographers, editors, reporters, teachers -- anyone!
SND needs your help to pick what courses to offer.
Take this poll and let us know which classes you would be mostly likely to attend. You can help SND shape future training.
SND is also looking for 2008 host sites. If you have access to a computer lab with at least 20 computers, please contact Education and Training Director Denise M. Reagan.
SND will announce the new lineup of Quick Courses in November.
