Intern news that's fit to print

Interns, you better sit down for this

More info on SNDBoston's summer intern contest

We know you're all working hard at getting together those awesome storyboards. And Kristin Lenz at the Hartford Courant is dying for the first one to land in her mailbox. But we had to break in and let you in on a little secret we've been keeping. Well, not keeping. We were just tying up all the loose ends.

The New York Times.
That's right.
THE New York Times.

Add them to your list of possible places to intern at in the summer of 2008. We could go on and on about this award-winning, internationally phenomenal publication. But if you haven't heard about it by now, well, then, um, good luck.

So let's run this down: The Boston Globe, the Hartford Courant AND The New York Times?!?

Is that the sound of erasers moving at high speeds we hear?

I hope these wacky Intern candidates know how lucky they are!

In my day (insert SNL's Grumpy Old Man here), we didn't have these fancy INTERNships. We worked at the school paper, and if we were lucky, they let us mop the floors when we were done. We didn't have these big SND Intern contests. We worked at Subway and the only design we did was calling ouselves a "Sandwich Artist." We were mopping floors and making sandwiches and we LIKED it! Ohhh, how we LOVED it.

In all seriousness, wow. Just, wow. And more to come -- that's the amazing thing! This is gonna be worth the price of admission to the Boston workshop by itself!
